AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

Palmetto Chevrolet Co. Inc. is seeking a responsible, motivated, self-starting individual to fill a vacancy in our Automotive Service Department as an Automotive Technician – Drivability, Electronics, Fuel Systems, Electric Vehicles.

Potential candidates should:

• Have a quality minded approach to repairs,
• Take repair work from dispatcher or computer dispatching system,
• Perform repair work described on repair order, including providing estimates,
• Communicate repair needs to service advisor,
• Ability to follow diagnostic trouble charts and accurately diagnose vehicle complaints,
• Test drive vehicles to verify accurate repair,
• Document cause and correction for all repair work in computer dispatch system,
• Work under limited supervision,
• Three or more years of automobile repair experience,
• Electric Vehicle repair experience,
• Have own tools and reliable transportation,
• ASE, GM, EV or other certifications are a plus.

Candidates must possess a valid Driver’s License (with no significant violations) and be willing to submit to drug screening and criminal background checks.
